As her love of storytelling grew, she became a renowned songwriter, journalist and a respected voice in the literary world of Kosova and Turkey.
As Kosova descended into war in 1998 and 1999, Burbuqe's courage and determination took her to the frontlines as a war reporter, where she reported the news in Turkish language to Turkish News Channel in Istanbul. She risked her life to bring the world the truth about the conflict and the atrocities being committed against innocent people.
Burbuqe's legacy lives on through her poetry, and this documentary takes the audience into a cinematic journey through her earliest poems to her latest, each poem a short fictional movie that invites the audience to delve deeper to the realm that Burbuqe inhabited.
